Front Desk Supervisor
3pm to 7pm (hours may vary), Monday-Friday (Part-Time)
Pay is $15 per hour.
The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the front desk and ensuring the safety of Club members. The Front Desk Supervisor must be customer service oriented, as they are the first person our Club families and visitors will meet upon entering the building. The Front Desk Supervisor must be cooperative, friendly, and able to create a harmonious environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Operating and managing the Club’s front desk:
o Maintaining the safety and security of the Club;
o Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the front desk area, including sweeping the floor, taking out the trash, and cleaning the windows;
o Identifying parents or other authorized pick-ups and releasing members to appropriate adults;
o Managing conflicts with parents and members in a professional and courteous manner;
o Greeting, monitoring, and tracking all visitors;
o Communicating and dispersing information about upcoming events and activities to members and the public;
o The ability to use the phone system, transfer calls, and send calls to appropriate voicemails; and
o Being knowledgeable of everyday Club operations, i.e. closing times, age restrictions, cost and time of programs/events, and Homework Assistance Program procedures.
• Maintaining all membership and tracking systems of the Club:
o The ability to operate KidTrax for member information;
o Signing members in and out of the Club;
o Handling registration and payments for summer camp, programs and special events; and
o Being responsible for membership cards, which includes enforcing the Club membership card policy.
• Other Duties will include:
o Abiding by the Club’s policies, procedures, and federal and state laws;
o Attending staff meetings/trainings when required;
o Attending special Club events when needed;
o A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Microsoft Outlook and Word, and the desire and drive to learn new, Club-specific software, like KidTrax; and
o The ability to utilize Google Translate when needed.
All candidates must possess a high school diploma. Experience working with children is helpful. The ability to stand, stoop, reach and bend for extended periods of time, to work in an environment that can have elevated levels of noise, and to lift up to 40 pounds is also needed. All applicants must pass the PA Criminal, National Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks.
