Youth of the Year

 Meet 18-year-old Mike Berstecher, a nine-year member of the North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club. Mike has been selected to represent both the North Penn and Indian Valley Boys & Girls Clubs as Youth of the Year for 2013! He first walked through the Club’s front doors when his family moved from a dangerous neighborhood in Kensington to Lansdale. The Club offered him programs, friends, and staff members that helped him grow into the person he is today.  Mike has spent many evenings volunteering as a coach in our sports leagues, and ran the Passport to Manhood program in the winter. Mike is currently an honor-roll student and quarterback of the North Penn Football team. He recently developed a program called RAAD, which stands for Resist Alcohol And Drugs.
