Indian Valley

It’s been quite a day for our Youth of the Year candidate, Ember! The morning and afternoon were filled with giving her speech, answering interview questions and exploring the Carnegie Museum. The evening was spent making friends, watching the Pirates win and getting a special photo op of beautiful Pittsburgh.
We’re so proud of Ember’s grace, poise and confidence through this whole process. She has been an excellent representative of our organization and Boys & Girls Clubs as a whole. Tomorrow morning we celebrate with breakfast before heading home!

It’s a big week for our Miss Ember! She’s currently in Pittsburgh to represent the North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club at the Pennsylvania Youth of the Year competition. Ember has already worked diligently to write numerous essays, provided her resume and collected letters of recommendations. Tomorrow she will deliver a 3 minute speech and answers 15 minutes of questions before a panel of judges. We are so proud of Ember and she is already a winner in our eyes! Today we welcomed students from Pennbrook Middle School for their Day of Service — and they did a GREAT job!
