For the third year, North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club is incredibly grateful to receive a $5,000 donation from the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation to help provide healthy snacks for the children we serve.
The donation was presented on September 19, 2026 as part of Sprouting Healthy Communities Day, an annual event that connects Sprouts stores with schools and nonprofit organizations in their local communities.
This generous donation will benefit Club members across all three North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club locations, helping us purchase healthy snacks throughout the year.
For our Club members, a snack may seem like a small part of the day, but it makes a big difference. Many children arrive at the Club after spending a full day at school and still have an afternoon filled with homework assistance, enrichment programs, sports, time with friends, and other Club activities ahead of them. Having a healthy snack available gives them an opportunity to refuel and be ready for the rest of their day.
Now in our third year receiving this support, we have seen firsthand the difference this partnership makes. Providing snacks to children every day across three locations adds up quickly, and support from community partners like Sprouts allows us to continue meeting that everyday need.
The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation focuses on increasing access to nutrition education, healthy food, gardening and cooking programs, and other resources that encourage healthier living. Through Sprouting Healthy Communities Day, more than 550 nonprofit partners nationwide are sharing $2.75 million in funding this year.
We are incredibly thankful to Sprouts and the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation for continuing to invest in our Club members. Three years of support means three years of helping us keep children fueled, focused, and ready to learn, play, and grow.
Thank you, Sprouts, for continuing to be a great community partner and for helping us build Great Futures!
